HERE'S YOUR FIRST LOOK AT NEW RANI GARNER AND MT McCLANAHAN PAINTINGS!

Hello everyone!
Hope you are staying cool in the heat and enjoying our great summer weather! Here's a short look at some tempting arrivals from members of our artist family!

FRESH NEW PIECES FROM RANI GARNER AND MT McCLANAHAN!

ImageLike a summer breeze off the ocean, the new acrylic paintings from Marcus McClanahan invite us to reminisce about time spent on the coast. Not just the imagery, but the lively color and brushwork simply sparkle. While MT is known for his boats, adirondack chairs, dunes and beach houses also figure prominently in his newest offerings. Whether you live on the beach, have a traditional or contemporary home, these paintings can live anywhere!

The painting on the right is "Clouds Over Swansboro", acrylic on canvas, 48x48 inches and priced at an extremely reasonable $2500!

Georgia artist Rani Garner's newest paintings also scintillate with light and lively brushwork. Rani's fascination with light effects on the landscape are evident as she lovingly paints the glow of evening, midday sun or the magical time just after sundown. See details on her pieces below!

SUMMER FOREVER ON THE CANVAS OF MT McCLANAHAN!
A native of Clinton, North Carolina, Marcus received his BFA from East Carolina University, (the only accredited art program in the state). He says of his formal education, workshops attended, scholarships and awards received; “All are valuable experiences. But the journey to self realization in art, as in life, is a trail of thousands of feet of canvas behind.”

You could say that Marcus was born with brush in hand and not be far off. He has “always” been an artist. “It’s something inside; you just know what you’re here for. Eventually, hopefully you embrace it completely and that’s when things start to happen.”

“Every painting I do is an expression of the invisible; of something deep inside. It is interesting to look at completed work and see meanings unfold that I had not seen before. But I don’t say that subject is not important. I imagine that what I paint is as much a reflection of my heart and soul as anything.

Normally what prompts me to paint something is how the light and shapes interact; the visual contrasts. There is great strength in shape and color that can seem to almost force a painting out.

My conscious goal, first and foremost, is harmony; harmony of color and form. My passion for painting carries me through the struggles. The journey is indeed it’s own reward. But every now and then a painting will seem to just fall from the brush; and all is right with the world.”

Marcus’ work is in private and corporate, national and international collections. He is represented by several galleries on the east coast. Marcus lives with his wife, Kim, and has his studio near Greenville, North Carolina.

BEAUTIFUL AND REASONABLY PRICED NEW RANI GARNER OILS!
Rani Garner comes from a talented, creative family. Her father encouraged her to become an artist from a very early age and fostered in her a love of evening light on the landscape.

Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Garner speculates that growing up in a desert environment made her appreciate the trees which now fill her canvasses. The paintings, which often feature a dazzling glow of sunlight glimpsed through trees, have won awards in regional competitions and are in many corporate and private collections. Another artist has said of her work, “It is as if she has taken the best parts of a day and condensed them down into one single, perfect moment.”

ARTWORK (L-R):

"Sky Blue Sand", oil on canvas, 24x36, $1600

"Gold Dust", oil on canvas, 12x16, $550

"Midsummer Evening", oil on canvas, 30x40, $2300
